Our little cottage on the Island

We made it to Montreal! That was a really fun trip. We are now staying at our little famille cottage at Dorval island. Nice to be out of the car!

Watertown, NY

I love this fabric on the chair in our hotel room! We are only about 3 hours from Montreal, tomorrow we will be in Canada. We had a fabulous Greek dinner at Apollo restaurant with baklava ice cream for dessert, big YUM!

"Real Seafood" restaurant in Tolido

Awesome Seafood restaurant in Tolido. Had blackened Lake Erie perch for the first time and it was delicious!

Eating at the farm in Indianapolis

Who knew Indy was a foodie town? We are staying at our friends Sue Ellen and Nick who just moved there 6 months ago and like to eat just as much as we do. They know all the good spots. This is the Traders Point Creamery restaurant, right in the barn. In the back you can see the wheels of delicious cheese. And the ice cream? To die for!

Awesome fabric store in Indianapolis

Crimson Tate on Massachusetts Ave. in Indianapolis. Amazing selection of designer fabric like Heather Ross, Parson Grey, Lotta Jansdotter, Melodie Miller, Erin McMorris, Amy Butler, Denyse Schmidt, Kokka, Kaffe Fassett, etc. Owner Heather Givans is super cool too! I could spend days in there...

I am featured on the Spoonflower Blog!

Wow, that is pretty exciting! Read the post here.

Madison, Wisconsin

This is the University campus. Everybody is outside doing homework and drinking beer by the lake. Not a bad place to go to school...

Sunset in South Dakota

View of the prairies from our little log cabin motel in Wall, South Dakota. Had the best prime rib I ever had for dinner at the Red Rock restaurant in this tiny little town in the middle of nowhere.

Woo Hoo! I made it to the final 8!

Thank you everybody for your votes and support! I am totally excited! Still can't believe it!

The classic shot

Well, I had to take a picture of Old Faithful. It's pretty cool that it goes on so regularly, we actually saw it go twice while we were there. A lot of the roads, lodges and trails are closed in Yellowstone at this time of year. Still a lot of snow here, but we love to travel off season. Would love to come back here in the fall when the leaves turn.

A little lake by Norris Porcelain basin. We saw another black bear today, and no, it wasn't Dave!

At black sand basin near Old Faithful. Yellowstone is quite an amazing place!

On the way to Yellowstone

We are ahead of the tourist season and there is nobody on the road...

On the road again

We stopped at the ginkgo petrified forest in Vantage, Washington on our way to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They still have dinosaurs here...amazing!

Water flowers made the first round!

I entered the Fabric8 design contest and made it to the semifinals. There were over 750 entries in the competition from people all over the world. The judges from Robert Kaufman Fabrics and Spoonflower picked the 100 semifinalists. I am so excited! Voting is open until next Wednesday, May 9th. At that point, the top eight will be chosen to move on to the final round and design a whole collection. You can vote for me here, my spoonflower name is "snowflower". I would love to be in the top eight but there is fierce competition. Thank you for your support!
